Films submitted to the 2012 Portland Women's Film Festival must be directed or co-directed by a woman.

Filmmakers may submit as a General Filmmaker or Young Filmmaker in the following categories:

 

Short Narrative: Narrative Films of any genre under 40 minutes in length

Short Documentary:  Documentary Films of any genre under 40 minutes in length

Narrative Feature: Narrative Films of any genre over 40 minutes

Documentary Feature: Documentary Films over 40 minutes

Experimental Short: Short Films of Experimental Nature under 40 minutes

Animation Short: Animated Films of any genre under 40 minutes in length

Young Filmmaker: Shorts and Features of any genre

Be sure to follow the guildelines. Regular submission fees apply.

Young Filmmakers: filmmakers 18 and under may submit their film for free on or before October 7, 2011 through

Without a Box, or by downloading a submission form. Please allow us to verify your age by including a photocopy of

your ID (displaying date of birth) with your submission or application.

Early Bird Deadline: Postmarked by Friday June 24, 2011 ~ $20
Regular Deadline: Postmarked by Friday August 12, 2011 ~ $30
Late Deadline: Postmarked by Friday September 9, 2011 ~ $35
WAB Extended Deadline: Postmarked by Friday October 7, 2011 ~ $45
